Sangoma offer a range of Voice gateways which provide the essential solution for any company migrating to Microsoft Lync and wanting to integrate their existing Voice telephone system into the Lync infrastructure.

What is Microsoft Lync / Skype for Business (SFB)?

Microsoft® Lync® / SFB is a unified communications platform. Users can keep track of their contacts' availability; send instant messages; start or join an audio, video, or web conference; share their desktop or documents; or make a phone call all through a consistent, easy to use interface.

Users can use Microsoft Lync to store and organise their contacts and can integrate it with their calendar. Contact can be grouped together e.g. colleagues, friends and external partners. With Microsoft Lync's presence feature, users are able to see when other users are free and make their presence known to others for example if they do not want to be disturbed.

Lync is built to fully integrate with Microsoft Office packages. The Microsoft Lync 2013 desktop client is available for Windows and for Mac and mobile versions are available for Windows Phone, iPhone/iPad, and Android devices.

What we've done with Microsoft Lync?

We have been working with Microsoft Lync and its fore runner OCS since 2009 and have a fully operating Microsoft Lync server at ProVu.

Since the early days of Snom's involvement with Lync (back when Lync was Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2), we have been working closely with them, conducting intensive interop testing. As a result, we have gained a strong working knowledge of Lync and more importantly how to integrate telephony with Lync.

We have a number of Snom UC edition demonstration units for loan to ITSP's or other organisations, for their own testing purposes. In the past we have helped users in the health and law sector to set up Snom with Lync, within their working environment.
