Overview

The Algo 8196 IP Horn Speaker is a robust PoE+ SIP paging speaker designed for loud and clear voice paging, emergency alerting, and bell ringing in large or noisy environments. Ideal for warehouses, manufacturing plants, and outdoor areas, it delivers up to 16W of audio output while maintaining high intelligibility. With built-in multicast and SIP compatibility, the 8196 integrates seamlessly with most hosted, cloud-based, and on-prem VoIP systems..

To reduce infrastructure costs without sacrificing performance, the 8196 supports Algo’s Satellite Speaker technology. This allows up to three additional speakers (Algo 1196 Satellite Speakers) to be connected via standard patch cables, sharing the 16W of audio output. Each speaker automatically adjusts to deliver optimal sound output, making it possible to extend coverage using a single network drop and one device license, significantly reducing installation time and complexity.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the 8196 is IP66 rated, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The device continuously monitors satellite speaker connectivity for added peace of mind. Supporting SIP, multicast, and integration with major UC and mass notification platforms, the 8196 offers secure audio delivery with TLS, mTLS, and SRTP support.
