Overview

*The Algo 1196 is a satellite device dependant on the Algo 8196

The Algo 1196 Satellite Horn Speaker is a high-performance solution designed to extend audio coverage in high-noise environments such as warehouses, factories, and gymnasiums. Engineered to match the acoustical output and form factor of the main Algo 8196 IP PoE+ Horn Speaker, the 1196 offers seamless integration into IP paging and notification systems while maintaining consistent, crystal-clear sound across all connected units.

Up to three 1196 satellite speakers can be powered and supervised by a single 8196 speaker, sharing the 16W of available audio power. These speakers connect in a daisy chain configuration using standard CAT5 or CAT6 cabling, significantly reducing infrastructure costs by eliminating the need for additional network ports, cable runs, and device licences. Once connected, the 1196 speakers are automatically detected, with real-time status available via the 8196 web GUI or Algo’s 8300 Supervision Controller, if deployed.

Identical in appearance and performance to the 8196, each 1196 speaker benefits from automatic zone and volume synchronisation, as well as ambient noise response based on the 8196’s microphone detection. This intelligent setup ensures that voice pages and audio notifications are delivered with clarity and precision.
